Salary: Competitive Base Salary + Overtime & Allowances (Potential earnings up to £50,000 OTE)

About the Role
Are you an experienced fire protection professional looking for your next challenge in London and the Home Counties?
We are seeking a dedicated Passive Fire Protection Engineer to join our growing field team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring life safety and regulatory compliance across a variety of commercial and residential sites. You will conduct comprehensive site surveys, identify and rectify fire-stopping deficiencies, and deliver remedial work that meets strict British Standards and third-party certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Site Surveys & Reporting: Survey upcoming projects and generate detailed inspection reports using online management tools (Flow).
- Installation & Remediation: Install, repair, and maintain passive fire protection systems, including fire stopping, fire damper replacements, and ductwork modifications.
- System & App Usage: Conduct daily vehicle checks, receive job updates, and log site activity via Big Change.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all remedial work complies with current British Standards and third-party certification guidelines. Strictly follow Method Statements and DRAMs.
- Communication: Maintain professional, clear communication with site contacts, client representatives, and internal office management.
- Scope Management: Identify and report any scope variances or additional requirements promptly.
- Documentation: Complete full service reports and post-work testing documentation prior to leaving each site.
- Development: Participate in monthly engineering meetings and complete all compulsory training modules.

Requirements (The Person)
Essential:
- 5+ years’ experience in the Passive Fire Protection industry.
- In-depth knowledge of passive fire protection systems, fire stopping materials, and relevant British Standards.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to strict regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and alongside team members.
- Valid UK Driving Licence and full right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- Relevant industry NVQ qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Passive Fire Protection) or FIRAS / BM TRADA cards.
- Experience operating CAFM system software such as Big Change and Flow.
- Understanding of asset compliance and lifecycle management.
