Job Opportunity: Experienced Firestoppers Needed
RGE Services is looking for experienced firestoppers for our passive fire contract with Bristol City Council. The work is steady and ongoing, fixing fire compartmentation in low-rise council flats and maisonettes across Bristol.
Initially, we are able to offer work until Christmas and then ongoing work for the right candidates.
The Work
- Firestopping service penetrations: pipes, cables and ducts through walls and floors
- Compartment work in lofts: batt walls, cavity closers, fire-rated hatches
- Working in occupied homes, so you need to be tidy, respectful and good with residents
- Logging every job on our reporting app with clear before and after photos

You'll Need
- Proven firestopping experience on social housing or similar work
- Working knowledge of the main systems (batts, mastics, collars, wraps, pillows) and fitting to manufacturer details
- Minimum Blue CSCS card
- Asbestos awareness (UKATA or equivalent), Manual Handling, Working at Height certificates
- Your own hand tools and transport to site
- Good attention to detail. Your work gets inspected and has to be right first time.
- Enhanced DBS, or willing to get one

We Offer
- £25-27.50/hour (£200-£220 per day based on 8 hours), CIS, paid weekly
- Long-term work across the framework
- Start: ASAP
- Hours: Mon-Fri 8.00 - 17.00
Overtime on a Saturday often available too.
