First Class Academic Mentor

An 'Outstanding' graded Ofsted secondary school based in the heart of Tower Hamlets are looking for Academic Mentors to join their vibrant and high-achieving secondary school for an September 2026 Start with potential for salaried and funded teacher training from September 2027.

After creating a fantastic relationship with the Head Teacher and placing over 20 graduates at the school over the past few years - The Head Teacher is now eager to recruit the next round of graduates to inspire & raise attainment across the school.

What will you do as an Academic Mentor?

  • Run small, targeted interventions in groups and 1:1 for students who are struggling academically
  • Run booster sessions for students inside and outside of the classroom across various subjects - depending on your subject speciality!
  • Support class teachers across different subjects and support students development academically

ACADEMIC MENTOR JOB DESCRIPTION

First Class Academic Mentor

  • Salaried + Funded Teacher training from ASAP
  • Range of opportunities to excel across the school within a specialist role
  • September 2026 Start - Full Time - Initially a contract role until the end of the academic year July 2027
  • £110 - £130 per day (Term Time Only)
  • Located in the Borough of Tower Hamlets

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Must have a 1st Class or 2:1 Degree from a reputable University
  • Aspiring Primary or Secondary Teacher
  • Must be willing to go above and beyond daily for the pupils
  • Confidence is key throughout these roles/School
  • Must be a team player
