First Class Lounge Host
Optime Group are excited to be recruiting for First Class Lounge Host to join one of our well-respected and successful clients at Paddington Station. This is a very enjoyable role with a great company providing fantastic working conditions and facilities.
What’s on offer:
- Rate of Pay: £14.80 per hour.
- Shift Times: Ad-hoc
- Hours: 20 average per week.
- Weekly Pay (every Friday).
- Full training provided.
- Temp to Perm (performance-based)
- ASAP Start!
Key Duties:
- Provide a warm, professional welcome to customers entering the First Class Lounge.
- Check customer eligibility and travel documentation where required, ensuring access arrangements are managed politely and consistently.
- Deliver attentive, proactive customer service throughout each customer's visit.
- Provide customers with accurate information regarding train services, departures, platforms, connections and potential disruption.
- Support customers during disruption, providing clear information and helping them understand their available options.
- Prepare, present and replenish complimentary refreshments, snacks and other lounge amenities throughout the day.
- Maintain excellent standards of presentation, cleanliness and organisation across the lounge.
- Regularly monitor the lounge environment and take action to ensure it remains comfortable, welcoming and ready for customers.
- Identify opportunities to provide additional assistance, particularly for customers who may require extra support.
- Respond professionally and confidently to customer questions, concerns and complaints, escalating issues appropriately when required.
- Work closely with station colleagues, onboard teams and operational colleagues to provide customers with a joined-up journey experience.
- Follow all relevant food hygiene, health and safety, security and operational procedures.
- Report maintenance, safety or security concerns promptly through the appropriate channels.
- Represent Great Western Railway professionally at all times, maintaining high standards of personal presentation and conduct.

Requirements:
- Previous experience within hospitality, premium customer service, travel, retail, hotels, aviation, rail or a similar customer-facing environment.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, polished and approachable manner.
