Ready to lead from the front? We're looking for a motivated First Line Manager to join our DHL Tyre Contract in Daventry. You'll inspire and develop operational teams, drive performance, and ensure safe, efficient delivery in a fast-paced logistics environment. If you're a strong people leader with a passion for operational excellence, this is your opportunity to make an impact.
What You'll Do
- Supervise day-to-day performance, including achievement of agreed customer KPIs and other internal KPIs (e.g., safety, operational, employee related etc)
- Ensuring staff are trained to the correct standard to perform duties as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) whilst maintaining records so that training needs are observed and actioned
- Deliver team member performance reviews (1-2-1s), development and/or succession planning, providing coaching as appropriate
- Support and contribute towards briefing activities such as performance management appraisals, comms zone briefs, PD boards, disciplinaries and grievances, investigations, informal / formal conversations
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures
- Handle operational issues, escalations, and incident resolution
- To support and get involved with day-to-day operations needs, such as manual handling of tyres

This Role Would Suit People Who
- Previous people management experience (First Line Manager/Shift Manager/Team Leader) is essential
- Experience within the Tyre industry would be desirable
- Holds a valid MHE License (Forklift - Counterbalance/Reach) would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- IT literate - WMS and Microsoft packages
