Are you an experienced warehouse leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment?

Do you enjoy developing teams, driving performance and delivering outstanding customer service? Are you ready to play a key role in an exciting new chapter for one of GXO’s major customer contracts?

Here at GXO, we’re recruiting for First Line Managers (FLMs) to join our Daikin operation in Daventry. With a newly renewed contract and an enhanced management structure, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing operation and help drive performance, engagement and operational excellence across the site.

These are full-time, permanent positions, with opportunities available across both rotating day shifts and a fixed night shift.

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of £32,200.00 per annum and 33 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead warehouse operations during your shift, ensuring productivity, quality, safety and customer service targets are consistently achieved across all operational activities
  • Coach, develop and support warehouse colleagues, creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement and continuous improvement
  • Monitor operational performance through KPIs and management systems, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and implementing corrective actions where required
  • Effectively plan and deploy resources to ensure customer requirements, service level agreements and business objectives are achieved
  • Build strong working relationships with operational support functions including inventory, customer service and QHSE teams to ensure seamless operational delivery

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics or supply chain environment, with responsibility for leading teams and delivering operational performance
  • Strong people management and coaching skills, with a proven ability to motivate and engage teams within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing performance through KPIs and operational reporting, with the ability to make informed decisions using data and insight
  • Good understanding of Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
