Warehouse First Line Manager
Location: Milton Keynes (MK4 3FU)
Grade: RCS. N
Shift patterns: Any 5 from 7 - Tuesday to Saturday (07:00am - 15:00pm)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) - Overtime not payable

A Typical Day May Involve
- To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
- To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
- To track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level
- Deliver team member performance reviews (1-2-1's), development and/or succession planning as appropriate
- Support and contribute towards briefing activities such as performance management appraisals, comms zone briefs, PD boards, disciplinaries and grievances, informal / formal conversations
- Ensure shift is managed in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
- Support with resource planning, conducting interview and inductions for new starters

This Role Would Suit People Who
- Previous warehouse management experience (First Line Manager/Shift Manager/Team Leader) is essential
- Previous experience of Inventory Management disciplines is desirable
- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
- Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
- Knowledge of MHE operations (holding valid MHE licenses would be desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- IT literate - WMS and Microsoft packages
