Role Overview
Fitch Ratings is currently seeking an Associate Product Owner to join the Ratings Workflow Solutions (RWS) team based in London.
About the Team
Ratings Workflow Solutions (RWS), part of the Ratings COO organization, is a cross-functional, agile team responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing applications and workflows used by our Ratings staff. Our goal is to streamline processes, mitigate risks, and advance standardization and automation across Fitch’s ratings platforms and workflows. The team partners closely with analytical, business, and technology staff to ensure our systems support the needs of the Ratings organization and enable our staff to work effectively.
How You’ll Make an Impact
We're looking for an Associate Product Owner to support one or more Product Owners in defining product roadmaps and translating business needs into actionable solutions. This role will contribute to strategic initiatives that improve the workflows, systems, and data processes underpinning Private Credit and Ratings work, including streamlining document and data management, enhancing cross-team reporting, enabling AI-driven content processing, and ensuring secure data delivery across platforms.
Beyond the core requirements, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with your squad to reimagine current processes from the ground up, exploring how AI tooling and modern platforms can transform legacy workflows and shape what "good" should look like for the next generation of Ratings systems.
Working closely with Agile squads and business stakeholders, you'll translate business needs into clear requirements and help drive solutions that improve operational efficiency. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, collaborating across teams, and shaping product and process improvements in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will bring a collaborative, customer-first mindset and be comfortable working with colleagues at different levels of Agile maturity.

Key Responsibilities
- Support Product Owners in defining and executing product direction for records management, document feed capabilities, and data flows across platforms, aligned to organizational goals and stakeholder needs.
- Partner with your squad to explore opportunities to reimagine current-state processes, including how AI tooling can be applied to improve document and content workflows.
- Analyze and document workflows and system processes in both current-state (as-is) and future-state (to-be) formats.
- Elicit requirements from stakeholders and translate them into well-defined epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and daily scrum meetings.
- Work closely with Agile squad members to provide timely feedback and help ensure sprint goals are met.
- Help maintain and refine the squad backlog, including prioritization support and sprint readiness.
- Coordinate dependencies across squads, partner teams, and upstream/downstream systems.
- Help define and track product metrics to document business value.
- Support user readiness activities, including testing coordination, training materials, release communications, and post-release feedback loops.
You May Be a Good Fit If
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with interest in growing into a Product Owner role; or current experience as a Junior Product Owner.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and experience supporting delivery routines.
- Proficiency with collaboration and delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence, with exposure to AI-enabled tooling such as Figma Mate.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams and stakeholders across different functions.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
- Strong follow-through, attention to detail, and a clear ownership mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-demand, matrixed organization.

What Would Make You Stand Out
- Experience operating within a regulated industry environment.
- Interest in, or practical experience with, applying AI tools to enhance established business processes.
- Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives, including the transition of manual processes into structured digital workflows.
- Ability to oversee cross-application workflows, monitor process performance, resolve issues, and support timely data delivery.
- Familiarity with financial services, credit ratings, or private credit markets.
- Agile or Scrum training, or experience contributing within an Agile squad.
