Fitness Manager in Canberra, Australia - Relocate from the UK on a Working Holiday Visa

AU$80k base (around £42k) + up to 15% annual bonus + superannuation + club membership

Location: Canberra, Australia. Open to UK candidates relocating, with a route to sponsorship after six months.

Please read first: this role is open to UK candidates who are eligible for an Australian Working Holiday Visa.

Our client is a premium health, racquets and lifestyle club operator, running some of the most impressive facilities in Australia. They're looking for a Fitness Manager in Canberra to lead the gym floor and Personal Training teams at a truly luxurious club, and to drive the rollout of a brand new PT model launching in 2026.

If you've been quietly thinking about making the move to Australia, this is the version of it that actually goes somewhere.

On offer is AU$80k base, which is around £42k at current rates and rises to roughly £48k with the bonus at maximum, plus full club membership, ongoing training, a clear progression path and, most importantly, a realistic route to staying in Australia permanently.

Working pattern: Full time with varied hours and days. Shifts typically run 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm across the week, with flexibility needed to cover classes and floor shifts if the team is short. You can also keep your own PT clients for up to 10 hours a week outside your set shifts.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
