Role Description The Fitness Coach role at JD Gyms Livingston is a part-time on-site position focused on delivering high-quality fitness experiences for members. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Additional tasks include:

  • Conducting fitness assessments
  • Monitoring member progress

  • Collaborating with the wider team to increase member engagement and retention

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Fitness Training and Fitness Instruction to design and deliver effective individual programs.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Group Exercise to lead diverse, motivating classes for members of varying abilities.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Nutrition to provide general, evidence-based guidance supporting member wellbeing.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of the Fitness Industry to stay current with trends, best practices, and safety standards.
  • Relevant fitness certifications (e.g., personal training, group exercise) and first aid/CPR credentials are highly beneficial.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and support a wide range of members are essential.
  • Experience working in a gym or health club environment and familiarity with premium equipment and functional training areas are advantageous.
