Kirklees Active Leisure (KAL) is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Fitness Coordinator to join the team.
The role is based at KAL Head Office, with travel to all KAL facilities.

Key Tasks
- Develop and support fitness teams through training, mentoring, knowledge sharing and coordinating staff development initiatives across all sites.
- Manage and improve fitness products, including personal training and group exercise programmes, ensuring high standards, strong customer experiences and commercial growth.
- Oversee Group Exercise instructors and volunteers, including recruitment, inductions, performance management, quality assurance and timetable development.

Key Requirements (Essential Criteria)
- Level 3 Personal Trainer or Exercise Referral qualification, plus a Group Exercise qualification accredited by REPS/CIMSPA
- Significant health and fitness industry experience, including supervisory/management responsibility and experience working across multiple sites.
- Strong organisational, administration and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively while demonstrating KAL's values of One Team, Excellence and Passion.
- An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Disclosure (DBS) is required for this post. A conviction will not exclude a candidate but will be considered as part of the overall recruitment process.
