The Role Outline: Your Shift at a Glance
As our Fitness Coordinator, you are the operational powerhouse of the studio. You will coordinate both our internal Fitness Coaches and a dedicated team of external freelance instructors to deliver a vibrant, high calibre timetable. Working alongside the Leisure Club Manager, you will use cutting edge tech like Myzone and partner with industry giants like Les Mills to ensure our classes are the absolute best in the area.
Why Village?
At Village, we do hospitality a little differently. We are all about personality, genuine connections, and creating lively spaces for our guests to work, eat, relax, and play. That is why we back our teams to be themselves, take ownership, learn new skills, and grow their careers.
Previous fitness or coordination experience is great, but your attitude and energy matter much more to us. If you are a natural organiser with a passion for helping others smash their goals, we will give you all the support, training, and opportunities you need. Because it really does take a Village.
How the Village Thrives
We live our culture through four simple commitments:
- We Can & We Do: We show up to make a genuine difference and do fantastic work every day, with purpose.
- We Will: Treat each other with respect and dignity. No ego, no drama. We try our best and look out for each other.
- We Care: We care about our impact on guests, the community, and each other.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your Shift: What You Will Actually Be Doing
We do not just need a great instructor. We need a super organised commercial coordinator. We trust you to handle:
- The Timetable Reality: Building the schedule. You will coordinate a vibrant, balanced timetable featuring Village Exclusive classes alongside Les Mills, Zumba, and Hiit Company, ensuring we hit our strict occupancy and visit targets.
- The People Coordination: Wrangling the talent. You will support, coach, and motivate both our internal Fitness Coaches and a roster of external freelance staff, ensuring they have the product knowledge and raw energy to deliver beyond expectations.
- The Commercial Hustle: Protecting the numbers. You will treat the studio like your own business, helping to achieve budgeted spend, monitoring class performance, and ensuring we smash our internal health, safety, and brand audit scores.
- The Tech & Trends: Keeping us cutting edge. You will help upskill the team using technology like Myzone and foster a culture where instructors are constantly developing their own group delivery.
How We Succeed Together
We do not micromanage. It takes a village, so we believe in Ownership & Integrity, giving you the autonomy to manage your schedule and make decisions on the fly. We Empower & Elevate our people.
