The University has recently made significant investments into the campus sports facilities including £1.4m on a newly opened, state of the art gym at the Edge. The facility portfolio includes the Edge, the Gryphon Sports Centre and Gryphon Performance Hub. These include a 25m swimming pool with sauna and steam room, 150 exercise classes per week across 3 dedicated studios, an indoor climbing wall, squash courts and the largest indoor sports hall in Leeds.

This is a customer facing role and you will be responsive to member needs, being regularly available to provide help and advice on the gym floor. You will have a Personal Training and Group Exercise qualification(s), and experience of working in the fitness industry. With your knowledge and experience of designing and delivering personal training, fitness testing and group exercise, you will have the ability to inspire and instruct our members and wider community to achieve their health and fitness goals.

This role is variable hours: the shift patterns will include a variety of shifts to include the requirement for you to work early mornings 06:00- 14:15, evenings 14:00-22:30, weekends 14:30-21:00, university closed days and bank holidays.
You will be primarily based at one of our designated sports facilities, however, will be required to work at any of our sports facilities when required.
