About the role
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Casual Fitness Instructor to join our team on a flexible, casual basis. You will play a key role in delivering an outstanding fitness experience for our members and guests, providing professional guidance, maintaining a safe exercise environment, and supporting individuals in achieving their health and fitness goals. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for health and wellbeing, and the ability to engage confidently with people of all fitness levels while maintaining a friendly, professional, and proactive approach.
What you will do
- Provide a warm, welcoming, and professional experience for all members and guests using the fitness facilities
- Conduct gym inductions and demonstrate the safe and effective use of equipment
- Deliver fitness support, advice, and motivation to help members achieve their goals
- Monitor the fitness suite to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment at all times
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation throughout the fitness facilities
- Support the delivery of fitness classes and wellbeing activities where required
- Carry out routine health and safety checks and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies, procedures, and industry standards
- Assist with member enquiries and contribute to creating a positive and engaging fitness community

What You'll Bring
- Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification (essential)
- Previous experience working within a gym, leisure, or fitness environment is preferred
- Passion for health, fitness, and delivering excellent customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- A positive, friendly, and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of health and safety practices within a fitness environment
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Current First Aid qualification is desirable but not essential
