A Snapshot of Your Day

Join us as a Mechanical Fitter, where you will become part of a highly motivated manufacturing team responsible for the fitting and finishing of turbine components, including blades and vanes. Working to detailed engineering instructions and quality standards, you will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of precision. This role requires excellent mechanical fitting skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Carry out mechanical and bench fitting operations on turbine blades and vanes to company and customer specifications.
  • Follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and fitting layouts accurately.
  • Use hand tools, pneumatic power tools, and rotary deburring equipment safely and effectively.
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship while meeting production schedules and operational targets.
  • Inspect components using first-principle gauging techniques to verify conformance to specification.
  • Ensure products meet quality requirements before progressing to the next stage of the manufacturing process.

What You Bring

  • Completed Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering qualification.
  • Proven experience in Mechanical or Bench Fitting within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring and gauging techniques.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical fitting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality focus.
