Reporting to Production Controller
Contract: Permanently Employed
Probation: 6 months
Amcanu is a sheet metal manufacturer with specialist expertise in building world-class industrial enclosures and data cabinets. We’re now looking for someone to join our team and help us improve productivity.
This role requires a proactive individual with experience in fitting and assembly of components and sub assemblies. We’re looking for a great individual who can maintain optimum productivity while ensuring our quality standards are always being met.

We’d hope the right person would work closely with our Team Leader and Production Controller to become an integral part of the Amcanu team.
Key Responsibilities
Our ideal Fitter / Assembler will be expected to:
- Read and understand drawings.
- Operate and maintain hand tools.
- Maintain daily equipment checks.
- Maintain quality and part tolerances.
- Work with clean and paint finished parts and sub assemblies.
As a member of the Amcanu team, the position holder is also expected to:
- Maintain professional development.
- Bring excitement to the role; raising the standard and introducing new ideas.
- Know, understand and comply with Amcanu’s policies and working procedures.
- Support Amcanu’s culture and working environment.

Whilst some experience of fitting is necessary for this position, the following are also important to us:
- Be organised and work in a logical and tidy manner.
- Be forward thinking – always a few steps ahead to prevent blockages.
- Have impeccable attention to detail to maintain quality control.
- Able to work within our team.
