Role Description
The Fitter role at ATIRE UK is a full-time, on-site position based in Wigan. The Fitter is responsible for safely fitting, removing, and replacing industrial tyres on customers’ equipment, including forklifts, skid-steers, AWPs, and tele-handlers.

Day-to-Day Tasks

- Traveling to customer locations
- Assessing tyre condition
- Using appropriate tools and equipment for tyre installation
- Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards
Responsibilities
- Completing job documentation
- Maintaining company vehicles and tools in good working order
- Communicating clearly with customers and the office team about job status and any issues encountered
The Fitter works as part of a service-oriented team, contributing to efficient scheduling and a professional on-site experience for customers.
Qualifications
- Hands-on mechanical or technical skills relevant to tyre fitting, vehicle maintenance, or equipment repair.
- Ability to use power tools and manual tools safely, with a strong focus on health and safety procedures.
- Previous experience in tyre fitting, mobile fitting, or a similar field-based service role is beneficial.
- Comfort working in industrial environments and handling heavy equipment and materials.
- Valid UK driving licence and a strong track record of safe driving.
- Good communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow job schedules and instructions.
- Willingness to undertake training and gain any necessary certifications related to tyre fitting and safety.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for completing job sheets, reports, and service documentation.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality work and customer service.
