Role Overview
As a Plant & Tools Hire Fitter for Boels Rental in Preston, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing light and medium machinery and plant equipment. After completing repair tasks, you will use electronic equipment to check and test machinery to ensure it is certified safe and fit for hire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing light and medium machinery and plant equipment.
- Using electronic equipment to check and test machinery.
- Conducting safety inspections and checks, keeping comprehensive records.
- Working on engines, transmission systems, hydraulics, electronics, pneumatic systems, and parts of plant chassis/frames.

Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 0730hrs to 1700hrs
Position Details:
- 3-month temporary fixed-term position covering Long Term Sickness absence

Your Profile
- High level of mechanical, diagnostic, and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work quickly and effectively to minimize delays on site.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions without direct supervision.
- Proven experience of repairing plant equipment and small tools.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Valid proof of your right to work in the UK.
