Fixed Asset Accountant

Kent

£44,000 - £48,000 p/a

The Fixed Asset Accountant will play a key role within the Fixed Assets team, taking ownership of the Keystone asset register, posting depreciation, reconciling major repairs, and ensuring VAT-compliant intercompany charges. The successful Fixed Asset Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, delivering detailed analysis, and managing complex transactions while meeting strict reporting deadlines.

Fixed Asset Accountant - The role

You will be responsible for:

  • Maintain and update the Keystone Fixed Asset Register, including handovers, disposals, and component replacements
  • Prepare month-end depreciation reports, schedules, and journal entries
  • Reconcile major repairs expenditure and capitalised works, working closely with Asset Management teams
  • Review development transactions for VAT compliance and process intercompany recharges and project ledger updates

About you

  • Proven track record as a fixed-assets accountant with development experience, in a UK registered housing provider (or an equivalent regulated property organisation).
  • Professional accounting qualification or currently part-qualified (ACA/ACCA/AAT).
  • Hands-on experience with Keystone, SDS Sequel, Open Accounts, or comparable fixed-asset and project ledger systems
