Fixed Asset System Accountant - Finance System, 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £57,023 per annum pro rata
Location: Home Based, commutable to Birmingham
This is a Temporary, Full Time vacancy
The vacancy
Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week/ 70 hours over two weeks (nine-day fortnight)
Location: Home Based with a requirement to attend team meetings at our head office in Birmingham as required, therefore you must live within a commutable distance.
The role
Would you like to play a key role in the implementation of a new finance system?
We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused professional to support the successful implementation of Unit4 ERPx, with a particular focus on Fixed Asset data.
Working alongside the Fixed Asset Workstream Lead / Financial Reporting Manager, you will help improve data quality, strengthen processes and support effective system functionality. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across Asset Management and Development Accounts, Financial Reporting and the Unit4 Project Team, contributing to an important transformation that will enhance the way we manage and report our financial information.
While the role is home based the successful candidate will be required to attend team meetings at our head office in Birmingham as required, therefore you must live within a commutable distance.

What we’re looking for
The essential requirements for the role include:
- Ability to interpret accounting standards (particularly new changes to FRS and SORP) to ensure compliance
- Fixed Asset and Component accounting – significant experience and comprehension of issues involved
- Understanding of Housing Associations and how they operate
- Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent, including Mathematics and English
- Accounting Qualification – CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
