Location: Flexible across Europe
Overview:
We are hiring on behalf of a boutique interbank and institutional broker that has been a benchmark name in OTC interest rate derivatives and fixed income for close to 40 years. Founded in 1986 out of Lausanne, the firm has quietly built one of the strongest franchises in Continental Europe – repeatedly ranked #1 in the Risk.net Interdealer Broker Poll for CHF interest rate swaps, and the reference desk for CHF OTC rate derivatives for over 15 years. Their pricing feeds are distributed through the major global market-data providers, which tells you everything about the quality of the flow that goes across the desk.
It is deliberately a lean, senior, entrepreneurial house – roughly 30 to 50 brokers across Lausanne, Zürich, Stockholm, Oslo, London and Johannesburg – with a strong Scandinavian franchise (SEK / NOK / DKK IRS, FRAs, bonds, ASWs) sitting alongside the CHF and multi-currency corporate credit business. No politics, no matrix, no bureaucracy. You trade, you get paid.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
They are opening a seat on the Fixed Income desk and, given the profile, are flexible on location: Zürich, Lausanne, Stockholm, Oslo or London all work.
What the desk is looking for:
- 3+ years on a fixed income desk (broking, sales, or sell-side trading) with a live, portable client book
- Real coverage of high yield and / or investment grade corporate bonds; comfort around credit derivatives and broader FI market structure is a strong plus
- Someone hungry, commercially minded, self-driven – this is a producer seat, not a support seat
- Fluent English essential; German, French, a Nordic language, Italian or Spanish all add value depending on the location

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
What you'd actually do:
- Own and grow an institutional client franchise across the FI product set
- Run daily order flow, pricing and execution across corporate credit and adjacent rate / credit products
- Open new accounts and new pockets of flow – you'll be backed to build, not slotted into someone else's book
- Work tightly with colleagues across the Swiss, Nordic and London desks – genuinely one P&L, one team
What is on the table:
- Competitive base plus a properly structured performance bonus – transparent payout, no black box
- Direct seat at a market-leading franchise with real name recognition among rates and credit counterparties
- International mobility across the office network as the book develops
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
