About Crédit Agricole CIB

Crédit Agricole CIB's Global Markets Structuring team delivers innovative investment, hedging and financing solutions to a global client base. The team operates across three specialist areas: Corporates, Financial Institutions and Wrapping Solutions, serving clients throughout EMEA, the Americas, Asia Pacific and France.

We are seeking a talented Fixed Income Structurer to join our London team, supporting Financial Institution clients ranging from private banks to large institutional investors. This role offers exposure to structured credit, fixed income investment solutions, hedging strategies and new product development within a highly collaborative and international environment.

The Role

As a Fixed Income Structurer, you will work closely with Sales, Trading, Risk, Legal and Quantitative Research teams to design, price and execute structured fixed income and credit solutions for Financial Institution clients.

You will help develop innovative investment and hedging strategies while contributing to product development, process automation and the delivery of best-in-class client solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Client Solutions & Transaction Execution

  • Partner with Sales teams to originate, structure and market fixed income and structured credit solutions.
  • Develop investment and hedging strategies tailored to client requirements.
  • Prepare marketing and transaction documentation for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage transaction execution alongside Trading desks in accordance with CACIB pricing and risk policies.
  • Deliver high-quality execution support throughout the trade lifecycle.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide technical product expertise.

Product Development & Innovation

  • Contribute to the development of new structured products and investment solutions.
  • Respond to bespoke client requests and reverse enquiries.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and regulatory developments.
  • Support the adaptation of global solutions to local client needs.
  • Participate in projects focused on automation, pricing tools and workflow enhancements.
  • Assist with the development of internal structuring and risk management tools, including programming initiatives.

Market & Business Support

  • Maintain awareness of market developments and their impact on structured products.
  • Support regional and global sales teams through product education and training.
  • Collaborate with structuring teams across international locations to share ideas and best practices.
  • Provide regular updates to management on transaction pipelines, execution progress, risk exposures and key business developments.

Risk & Governance

  • Ensure all business activities comply with CACIB policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and escalate transactional, compliance and reputational risks where appropriate.
  • Seek required approvals from Trading, Legal and Control functions on transactions involving bank risk.
  • Ensure proposed solutions remain suitable for client objectives and risk profiles.

Required Experience

Essential

  • Experience in structuring, financial engineering or structured product development.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed income, credit markets and derivative products.
  • Experience across one or more asset classes including:
    • Credit
    • Interest Rates
    • FX
    • Equity Derivatives
  • Experience working with institutional or financial institution clients.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

Preferred

  • Exposure to structured credit products and transactions.
  • Experience developing or implementing new investment solutions.
  • Knowledge of financing and packaging solutions including EMTNs, funds, loans, repacks or total return swaps.

Education

Essential

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related discipline.

Preferred

  • Advanced quantitative or mathematical qualification.
  • Relevant professional financial markets qualification.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of derivatives and structured products.
  • Solid fixed income and credit market knowledge.
  • Programming skills, particularly Python and/or VBA.
  • Data analysis and quantitative modelling capabilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
