Fixed Income Trader | Prop Trading | London | £160k-230k+ base, uncapped bonus/PnL split

I'm working with a highly profitable, technology-led prop trading firm in London that's expanding its fixed income desk - and they're looking for a systematic trader who genuinely lives and breathes rates futures.

Bunds, Bobls, Schatz, Treasuries, whatever your edge is - if you're trading it with real size and real conviction, this is worth a conversation.

What's on the table:

  • Base of £160k-230k, genuinely flexible for the right person
  • Bonus structured around your PnL, not a discretionary afterthought
  • Full backing - capital, tech, infrastructure, no politics slowing you down
  • A desk being built around top performers, not filled to hit headcount

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What they're looking for:

  • Proven track record trading fixed income futures with real risk and real PnL
  • Experience at a leading prop trading firm, market maker, or bank rates desk
  • Strong grasp of market microstructure and short-term price action
  • Comfortable working closely with technology and quant teams, even if you're not writing the code yourself
  • A genuinely quantitative, systematic approach to risk and execution
  • Track record of consistent profitability, not just size or tenure
  • Self-starters who want ownership of their book, not just a seat

My client is especially keen to speak with traders currently at established trading firms - people who've been trained right and are ready for the next step where the upside is actually theirs.

If you're a fixed income futures trader who's outgrown your current setup and wants a real stake in what you produce, drop me a message. Everything discussed in total confidence.

Thanks, Ed
