Company Description
We have an incredible opportunity to join our team in Aberdeen, Scotland; on a fixed term contract (maternity cover) for a 12-month period. Applicant must possess the relevant right to work in the UK and be available to work on-site at our Alten's, Aberdeen facility for the duration of the fixed term.
Job Description
The Energy Account Specialist (EAS) is responsible for entering and maintaining data within the ERP system, coordinating new product information for website uploads, and supporting the growth of existing accounts while developing new key accounts. The role focuses on distribution and direct-to-industry sales within the energy sector, while also supporting other strategic market segments as needed.
Working locally with regional and national accounts, the EAS promotes, markets, and sells both RWSC and key partner products and services. This is achieved through effective account management, product development support, distribution channel engagement, sales execution, merchandising, and administrative activities. The role is accountable for driving revenue growth, enhancing customer service, maintaining quality standards, and improving profitability by leveraging opportunities within the energy vertical.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of small regional customer accounts.
- Build strong customer relationships through regular engagement and consultative selling.
- Support the sales team with proposals, tenders, RFIs, meeting coordination, and follow-up activities.
- Qualify sales leads, identify opportunities, and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Maintain customer and product data within ERP and CRM systems.

- Proficient in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and sales pipeline management.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and developing new business opportunities.

- Quick learner with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Business or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), industrial health and safety (HSE), and the energy sector.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, such as Salesforce.com, to support sales processes, customer engagement, and pipeline management.
- Demonstrated experience with sales processes and account management.
- Strong customer experience and customer service skills.
- Experience with data entry, data processing, and maintaining data accuracy.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Quick learner who can adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
