Job Summary

Job Description

Purpose

To clear the backlog of finance tasks arising from the new finance system implementation and the Group reporting of the three P&Ls, stabilising processes and freeing the permanent team to focus on business-as-usual and value-adding work. Key goals will be to ensure payments and revenue are appropriately recognised, driving revenue and savings in the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Work through the transitional finance backlog, resolving open items and reducing complexity in day-to-day processes.
  • Investigate and clear aged balance sheet items, including historic accruals identified for review and release.
  • Support recovery of the Corporation Tax paid on account and other cash recoveries.
  • Review, rationalise and cancel redundant direct debits and recurring payments.
  • Resolve issues driving interest, penalties and charges (e.g. overdue invoices, PCI compliance, pension and fuel-card arrangements).
  • Reduce unnecessary intercompany transfers and administrative rework across the merged entities.
  • Document and hand over improved processes to the permanent team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
