Position Overview

The Security Ambassador position plays a key role within the store operations team. The role provides support by focusing on creating a safe and secure environment for all staff and guests visiting the store. The Security Ambassador will greet guests, maintaining presence, be aware of all store activities and respond to all safety matters in a timely manner. The Security Ambassador will also assist in mitigating loss by playing an active role in maintaining strong operational controls and helping to support a culture of honesty. Above all, as a Security Ambassador you will play a vital role in ensuring that our stores are a welcoming environment for our customers and will assist in creating a culture of honesty for our store team.


What You'll Do

  • Act as a front-line brand ambassador to guests and team members of Canada Goose
  • Be visible to guests as they enter the store premises and control access to the property
  • Acknowledge guests as they enter and exit the property
  • Contribute to a positive store environment through effective communication, teamwork and partnership with brand ambassadors and store management team
  • Assist in creating a safe work environment for our associates and customers
  • Assisting in the protection of the work and assets at our stores
  • Attend and participate in all store meetings and events
  • Demonstrate values and behaviours consistent with Canada Goose’s culture
  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship with all internal partners, mall security and other retailers to ensure all parties are well-informed with current and relative information
  • Ensure the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and on-site emergencies
  • Complete and submit CG Incident reports within 24hrs of the event
  • Play an integral role in store cycle counts and physical inventory process
  • Support initiatives to maintain brand standards in the delivery and merchandising process
  • Direct connectivity with the Sr. Loss Prevention Manager for Canada Goose to help influence brand strategies for mitigating loss
  • Responsible for maintaining standards for store security equipment
  • Support the completion of monthly Operational Control Checklist and Action Planning to increase store operational standards (if applicable)
  • Be able to directly connect with customers and store associates with a customer service mindset
  • Member of the JHSC and responsible for the completion of monthly Health & Safety Inspection

Let's Talk About You

  • 2-3 years’ experience working in retail with knowledge of workplace safety and emergency procedures
  • Experience in Loss Prevention or Retail Security is an asset
  • Recognized and valid first aid and CPR certificates
  • Applicant will be required to obtain Security Guard licensing if not currently licensed
  • Must be a team player with a keen sense on collaboration and growth mindset
  • Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing and observation skills
  • Exceptional judgment, common sense and decision-making ability
  • Good physical well-being and able to walk, stand for long periods of time, climb stairs and lift objects up to 20 lbs
  • Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
