Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth in the Commercial product segment by building a strategic pipeline of key fleet customers aligned with our business model. You will lead the sale of Commercial GDT products and services to both new and existing customers while fostering strong, long-term relationships. Success in this position requires achieving sales revenue and gross profit targets, managing essential administrative and planning activities—including contract management, scope-of-work processes, dispute resolution, and demand forecasting—and actively engaging with regional and global teams. You will also be expected to participate in international meetings, respond to global stakeholder communications, and meet multinational deadlines as part of a dynamic and high-performing commercial environment.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute profitable acquisition strategies by targeting new business opportunities, managing a strong pipeline across sectors, leading tender responses, and driving new product implementations to maximize revenue.
- Grow and optimize existing accounts by creating tailored sales solutions, strengthening relationships, and improving GDT gross margins through effective customer needs analysis.
- Build and maintain strategic customer relationships by delivering account reviews, resolving service and product issues, coordinating with service providers, and ensuring contract, KPI, and pricing commitments are met.
- Support growth and planning by driving demand forecasting, executing pricing initiatives, and developing comprehensive account plans for current and future key customers.
- Lead strategic negotiation for both renewed and new customer scope of work agreements with a view to achieving profitable commercial relationships encompassing product pricing, deliverable SLAs, and appropriate terms for each account.
- Liaise with all internal stakeholders required to ensure the business's ability to meet the commitments within an SOW prior to its finalization – e.g. Service Agent network.
- Generate firsthand information from multiple customer touchpoints (purchasing, operators, fleet management) to increase customer insights and enable GDT to tailor our customer strategy and industry insights through participation in industry forums and accessing industry resources.

What We're Looking For
- Tertiary qualifications in Sales, Business, or Marketing
- Successful experience as a Business Development Manager of 5+ years in either;
- The tyre or automotive industry
- A vertically integrated goods and services business with revenues exceeding $50M.
- Highly experienced in multi-layer customer sales engagement.
- Strong negotiation skills with large national major accounts.
- Strong sales and account management experience with a track record of performance success.
- Financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated success in the development and execution of a strategic growth plan ideally within a challenging market space.
