Fleet & Plant Manager
Eurovia is seeking an experienced Fleet & Plant Manager to take ownership of the company's fleet, plant and transport operations within the Kent and Erith area. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring our vehicles, plant assets and transport operations are safe, compliant, cost-effective and fully aligned to operational requirements.
Working closely with operational, commercial and support teams, you will provide strategic direction while maintaining a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day fleet performance, compliance and asset utilisation.
The Role
As Fleet & Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the management of fleet, plant, transport and workshop activities, ensuring assets are available, compliant and operating efficiently to support the delivery of highways and infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading all fleet, plant and transport operations across the region.
- Managing vehicle and plant asset lifecycles, maintenance programmes and replacement strategies.
- Ensuring compliance with all operator licence requirements, statutory inspections and transport legislation.
- Driving fleet utilisation, efficiency and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Managing budgets, forecasting expenditure and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Overseeing supplier and contractor performance, procurement activities and service agreements.
- Promoting a strong health, safety and compliance culture throughout the operation.
- Leading operational teams and supporting their ongoing development.
- Producing performance reports and using fleet data and telematics to drive decision-making.
- Supporting business improvement, transformation and change initiatives.

About You
We are looking for a proven fleet, plant or transport professional with experience gained within construction, highways, civil engineering, infrastructure or a similarly demanding operational environment.
You will have:
- Significant experience managing fleets, plant assets and transport operations.
- Strong knowledge of fleet compliance, maintenance planning and workshop operations.
- Experience of budget management, cost control and supplier management.
- A track record of successfully leading operational teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of HSEQ requirements, compliance and risk management.
- The ability to balance strategic planning with practical operational delivery.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications
- Highways, infrastructure or civil engineering sector experience.
- CPC in Road Transport Operations or equivalent transport qualification.
- Experience managing large and diverse fleets.
- Knowledge of telematics and fleet management systems.
- Experience delivering operational improvements and transformation programmes.
- Membership of a professional body such as IRTE, CILT, IAM, IOSH or similar.
- IOSH Managing Safely.
- NEBOSH Certificate.
- Relevant engineering, transport, fleet management or HSEQ qualifications.
