Are you an experienced Service Controller, Fleet Controller, Service Coordinator or Fleet Administrator looking for your next challenge? Do you have a strong eye for detail and enjoy ensuring vehicles remain compliant, safe and operational?

As a Fleet Compliance Controller based in Brighouse, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating workshop, mobile engineer and third-party maintenance activity while ensuring our specialist municipal fleet remains fully compliant with legislative and company requirements.

Working closely with engineers, customers, suppliers and internal departments, you will oversee planned maintenance, inspections, MOTs and statutory compliance, ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and documentation is accurate, complete and audit ready. You will be the central point of contact for fleet maintenance and compliance, helping to minimise vehicle downtime whilst supporting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily workshop, mobile engineer and third-party repair activity across a busy EMC service operation.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance, servicing, inspections, LOLER examinations, MOTs and other statutory compliance activities.
  • Monitor fleet compliance, ensuring maintenance schedules and legal inspections are completed within required timeframes.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection and compliance records across fleet management systems.
  • Track outstanding defects, repairs and compliance actions through to completion.
  • Ensure all vehicle documentation, certificates and service history are accurately recorded and readily available for audit purposes.
  • Liaise with customers, engineers, suppliers and operations teams to coordinate repairs and minimise vehicle downtime.
  • Monitor job progress, authorise updates where appropriate and escalate delays, risks or compliance concerns.
  • Raise purchase orders and process supplier invoices in line with company procedures.
  • Produce compliance and fleet performance reports for management.
  • Support investigations relating to maintenance history, defects and compliance queries.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, health & safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
