Title: Fleet Driver

Please read the information in this job post thoroughly to understand exactly what is expected of potential candidates.

Location: Stroud

Summary: The Fleet Driver will work closely with the Fleet department collecting and delivering for the GEL business.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering vehicles from Fleet department to site and site to Fleet department performing vehicle handovers with documentation.
  • Collecting and delivery parts from suppliers.
  • Determining the most efficient route for deliveries based on traffic patterns, time constraints, and other factors.
  • Maintaining contact with the Fleet department to ensure that all deliveries arrive within specified timeline.
  • Performing routine light maintenance on vehicles, including cleanliness, checking lights, levels, and tyre pressures, and completing daily Fleet walkaround checks.
  • Making sure all documentation is up to date and accurate, such as delivery notes.
  • Communicating with sites about delivery status.
  • Keeping track of fuel usage and refuelling vehicles when necessary.
  • To cover Fleet holiday/sickness when necessary and any adhoc jobs when necessary.

Requirements

  • Proven experience and competency of delivery driving.
  • Full UK Driving licence.
  • Good time management.
  • Good planning, organisation, and attention to detail skills.
  • Good teamworking skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Good customer service.
