Fleet Engineering Manager: Aberhill & St Andrews Depot

A new opportunity has arisen for a Fleet Engineering Manager to join Stagecoach South Scotland. This opportunity will give you the chance to manage a diverse and widespread engineering operation within a progressive organisation where your contribution can drive our business forward.
Reporting directly to the Senior Engineering management team, the role primarily focuses on:
- Delivering effective engineering support.
- Driving forward excellent levels of safety, reliability, and presentation of our fleet while meeting all statutory & legislative requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with the company’s proactive and preventative maintenance regime.
- Ensuring compliance with all health & safety policies and procedures, whilst maximising opportunities for future improvement.
- Collaborating, as a member of the senior engineering & local management teams, with colleagues to further develop the business within budgetary guidelines.

Applicants must have the following skills and experience:
- An excellent track record of high-quality fleet maintenance.
- Ability to lead a team to deliver a safe and cost-effective programme of preventative maintenance and repair.
- Excellent knowledge of health & safety, environmental, and employment legislation.
- An innovative, customer-focused, and commercially astute outlook.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
The successful candidate will be based in the South Scotland and will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and have excellent technical and people management experience.
