Our contract at Brize Norton with the MOD states we will provide a continuous service to cover 24 hours, 7 days a week and 365 days a year to the Royal Air Force, to maintain and ensure airworthiness of their fleet of aircraft.
You will act as the analytical backbone of our A400M maintenance and engineering operations. By monitoring the fleet's technical health, analysing complex system data, and identifying defect trends, you will drive continuous improvement in the A400M aircraft maintenance program.
You will work closely with technicians, the A400M engineering enterprise, and our customer (the RAF) to maximise aircraft availability and reduce operational downtime.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Maintenance Optimization: Propose and implement modifications to the approved A400M maintenance program to enhance fleet availability and reduce direct maintenance costs.
