Fleet Reliability Manager
At Go-Ahead London, we don’t just operate buses — we keep a city running.
As the capital’s largest bus operator, with over 2,500 vehicles across 18 locations, we play a vital role in millions of journeys every day. We are now expanding our in-house engineering team and introducing an exciting new opportunity: Fleet Reliability Manager

Role: Fleet Reliability Manager
Location: Merton, SW19 1DN
Contract: Full time - Permanent
Working Hours: 38 hours per week (overtime & weekend work may be required).
Salary: £70,000 - £74,000 doe
What You’ll Do
Are you passionate about delivering excellence and raising the bar for operational quality? Join us as a Fleet Reliability Manager— a pivotal role responsible for ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and with the highest reliability standards.
In this role, analyse performance data to spot opportunities for improvement, and collaborate closely with maintenance teams to optimise fleet dependability. Your work will directly contribute to delivering safe, consistent, first-class services for our passengers.

Performance Monitoring & Improvement
- Review vehicle maintenance schedules, ensure current maintenance schedules are implemented, and Engineering teams are aware of any process changes.
- Analyse data trends and provide insights that drive improved efficiency and reliability.
- Identify quality improvements with parts and working with supplier to improve/rectify.
- Manage fleet PDI process, integrations of vehicles into fleet and working with manufacturers on future maintenance activities on vehicles to reduce downtime of vehicles.
Compliance & Safety Management
- Ensure adherence to all relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Work with regulatory bodies to stay ahead of compliance updates.
- Carrying out maintenance & critical event investigations and provide detailed technical reports, sharing key findings and best practices to mitigate going forward.
Audit Coordination & Action Planning
- Carry out audit inspections of process and compliance to vehicle maintenance.
- Carry out maintenance audits in line with Customer specifications and recognise/implement improvements within maintenance process.
- Develop clear action plans to address findings and raise quality standards.
