Salary: Scale 4 £27,204 to £29,859

Location: Peterlee Warehouse

Hours/Contract: Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Closing Date: 5pm Friday 28th August 2026

Vetting Level: RV

The Role

As part of the Fleet Management Team; maintain accurate records and recording systems for vehicles including accidents, insurance, fuel and vehicle taxation.

What You’ll Do

  • To record vehicle accident damage and fuel usage, keeping accurate and up to date records, updating the fleet management database on a daily basis.
  • To liaise with Local Authority, Force Insurers, Damage Assessors and third party claimants on accident queries, arranging interviews, estimates for damage etc. and completion of appropriate documentation for claims process.
  • To process insurance forms relating to vehicle accidents and to calculate and arrange invoices to be raised and paid.
  • To arrange disposal of ‘total loss’ vehicles and recover payment
  • To liaise with the Workshops Management Team and other members of fleet staff, relating to accident damage repairs.
  • To arrange for fuel pump, glass repairs and vehicle valeting

What You’ll Bring

  • 4 G.C.S.E. levels (Grade A to C/ 9 to 4) including English Language or Literature and Math’s or an approved equivalent. An individual who possess an equivalent e.g. NVQ must provide evidence of Math’s and English.
  • At least one years administrative experience

If you hold a higher qualification than those required above or minimum 5 years relevant experience, please evidence this on your application and it will be reviewed by our recruitment team.
