About the Role
VD Recruitment is currently seeking a Nursery Practitioner/Early Years Practitioner for a family-run nursery that caters to 48 children.
This nursery emphasizes a nurturing, home-like atmosphere where children feel comfortable and safe. It offers a bright and spacious environment with cozy rooms designed to stimulate the children's development. The friendly and dedicated staff work to create a warm, supportive setting, providing high-quality care and education for the children.
Hours
- Full time 40hrs/week
- or 3/4 full days (49 Weeks a Year)

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Level 3/2 Early Years Practitioner to join their dynamic & excellent management team and fun atmosphere in North West London.
Your Responsibilities As An Early Years Practitioner
- Provide high quality care and activities for the children and to recognise both individual and group requirements in a secure, safe and stimulating environment.
- To lead by example, supporting and mentoring less experienced team members
- Deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and any other appropriate guidance for young children in accordance with nursery policy and guidelines.
- Work in partnership with parents/carers, recognising that parents are their children's first educators, and encourage parental involvement in the nursery.
- Assist and attend parents' meetings and open days.
- Help Maintain the safety and security of all children, employees and visitors to the Nursery.
- Help carry out regular assessments to ensure all Nursery Health and Safety procedures are followed.
- To ensure that ratios are adhered to at all times

Qualifications And Skills Required For The Nursery Practitioner
- Level 2/3 in Childcare and Education or higher
- A recent First Aid qualification is preferred
- A firm understanding of the EYFS framework
- Experience and knowledge of Safeguarding Practice
