Flexible Support Officer
Do you want to make a genuine difference to people's lives? Join us as a Flexible Support Officer and play a key role in delivering high-quality support across our Domestic Abuse Service, helping clients rebuild their lives, regain independence and move towards a safer future.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll provide support across refuge settings, places of safety accommodation, outreach services and our Domestic Abuse helpline, working closely with colleagues, the Police, health professionals and other partner agencies. From carrying out needs assessments and developing support plans to advocating for clients and helping them access safe accommodation, you'll be part of a dedicated team that is committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred support.
We're looking for someone who is empathetic, resilient and organised, with the ability to manage a varied workload and build positive relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
This role is based at our office in Oxford and requires regular travel across North and South Oxfordshire, with occasional travel to Westminster. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
