Flexjet First Officer Opportunity

Flexjet is seeking an experienced pilot to join its flight operations team as a First Officer on the EMB-550 (Praetor 600) Fleet.

The First Officer is responsible for supporting the Captain in the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, carrying out assigned flight duties in accordance with Company procedures, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, and contributing to an exceptional passenger experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Functionally responsible to the Captain for the duration of all flying duties.
  • Maintains a high personal standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of the Company.
  • Supports the Captain, by active example, in the development and maintenance of a high standard of professional expertise and morale amongst the crew.
  • Assists the Captain in maintaining appropriate crew discipline, conduct, and professional appearance.
  • Carries out flight duties in accordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures, including procedures, limitations, and performance requirements relevant to the assigned aircraft type, as delegated by the Captain.
  • Provides advice, information, and assistance to the Captain that contributes to the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
  • Reports all known or suspected violations or incidents promptly to the Fleet Manager.
  • Maintains a current medical certificate as required by the Company and notifies the Fleet Manager of any medical condition that may impair flight duties.
  • Assists the Captain with administrative duties related to flight operations as requested.
  • Maintains a high degree of crew coordination, performing duties in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner at all times.
  • Responsible to the Fleet Manager for duty assignments and training requirements.
  • Greets passengers and assists with passenger seating and luggage storage.
  • Conducts passenger briefings as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid EASA ATPL (UK CAA ATPL and Medical desirable but not mandatory).
  • Valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • ME-IR (A) endorsed on an EASA Licence.
  • MCC Course Certificate or Multi-Pilot Rating endorsed on an EASA Licence.
  • Advanced UPRT qualification or equivalent recent regulatory training.
  • Valid EU Passport.
  • English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 5 minimum.
  • Legal right to live and work in Europe and/or the UK.
  • Ability to travel internationally to all Flexjet operating destinations.

Flight Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2,500 total flight hours.
  • Minimum 500 hours Pilot in Command Under Supervision (PICUS).
  • Minimum 250 hours Multi-Pilot Instrument Time.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous experience within Commercial Air Transport and/or Corporate Aviation operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

  • Working knowledge of applicable EASA and UK aviation regulations.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with tablets, email, word processing, and web-based applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Professional appearance and grooming standards.
  • Ability to work weekends, nights, shifts, public holidays, and overnight trips.

Working Conditions

The Role Involves Regular Exposure To

  • Aircraft operating environments and moving mechanical equipment.
  • Extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
  • Elevated working areas and aviation-related hazards.
  • Aviation fuels, chemicals, and lavatory servicing fluids.
  • High noise environments typical of airport and aircraft operations.

Physical Requirements

In addition to maintaining a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate, the successful candidate must be able to:

  • Load and unload passenger baggage.
  • Perform aircraft pre-flight and post-flight inspections.
  • Assist with snow and ice removal when required.
  • Install and remove engine covers.
  • Carry out routine aircraft cleaning tasks.
  • Occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 23 kg.
