Flexjet is seeking an experienced pilot to join its Gulfstream G650 team as a Direct Entry Captain!

The Captain is responsible for exercising Pilot in Command (PIC) authority, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, leading assigned flight crews, and delivering an exceptional passenger experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs all Captain / PIC duties and directs the activities of other crew members, ensuring that all crew members understand fully and completely what individual duties they are expected to perform
  • Carries out all duties in accordance with Company procedures
  • Final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft
  • Ensures that the assigned aircraft is airworthy and that all proper documents are onboard the aircraft
  • Reports all known or suspected violations or incidents promptly to his/her Fleet Manager
  • Maintains a current medical certificate as required by the Company and notifies his/her Fleet Manager if a medical (physical or mental) condition may impair their ability to perform the flight
  • At the end of the day ensures that all maintenance discrepancies are reported and documented to the maintenance team and that, where required, Operations are alerted to the current status of the aircraft
  • Maintains contact with Operations, or other relevant departments as appropriate, often enough during the course of a flight to ensure that operational messages are promptly conveyed between the Flight Crew and Operations
  • Maintains a high degree of crew coordination, performing duties in a professional, efficient, and cordial manner at all times
  • Responsible to the Fleet Manager for duty assignments and training
  • Greets the passengers and assists with passenger seating and luggage storage
  • Ensures that passenger briefings are conducted
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Valid EASA ATPL
  • Valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Valid UK/EU/EEA Passport OR Legal right to live and work in Europe and/or the UK.
  • English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 5 minimum.
  • Ability to travel internationally to all Flexjet operating destinations.

Flight Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 4,500 total flight hours.
  • Minimum 2,000 Pilot in Command (PIC) hours.
  • Minimum 500 Multi-Engine Land hours on MPA (1,000 preferred).
  • Minimum 500 Multi-Engine Turbine hours on MPA (1,000 preferred).
  • Minimum 500 actual instrument hours.

Preferred

  • Minimum 500 hours on a similar type.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous experience within Commercial Air Transport and/or Corporate Aviation operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

  • Comprehensive knowledge of EASA Flight Operations regulations.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with tablets, email, word processing, and web-based applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Professional appearance and grooming standards.

The role involves regular exposure to:

  • Aircraft operating environments and moving mechanical equipment.
  • Extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
  • Elevated working areas and aviation-related hazards.
  • Aviation fuels, chemicals, and lavatory servicing fluids.
  • High noise environments typical of airport and aircraft operations.

Physical Requirements

In addition to maintaining a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate, the successful candidate must be able to:

  • Load and unload passenger baggage.
  • Perform aircraft pre-flight and post-flight inspections.
  • Assist with snow and ice removal when required.
  • Install and remove engine covers.
  • Carry out routine aircraft cleaning tasks.
  • Occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 23 kg.
  • Meet vision standards including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
