Mission
Responsible for the daily operation of the Flight Information Service at West Wales Airport, ensuring compliance with CAA regulations and local procedures.
What will be your responsibilities:
- Conducting basic flight planning tasks.
- Liaise with Government Agencies when required.
- Be an active part of the FISO team and assist with administrative duties.
- Attend operational flight planning briefings with based operators.
- Review Airport quality manuals.
- Provide unofficial MET observations.
- Conduct airfield inspections and report unserviceabilities.
- Assist with NOTAMs and aerodrome information updates.
- Support the training of new FISOs.
- Liaise with RFFS to ensure adequate coverage.
- Manage ATS email and PPR admin.
- Coordinate refuelling and handling services.
- Attend relevant training courses.
- Duties may evolve based on operational needs.

Profile and requirements
- CAA FISO Licence.
- SC Clearance Mandatory
- ROCC (Radio Operator Competence Certificate).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Previous experience as an Air Traffic Control Officer (ATCO) – civilian or military.
- Previous experience as a Flight Information Service Officer (FISO).
- Holder or former holder of a pilot’s license (LAPL/PPL or commercial).
- Experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
