About the Role
The operations officer is an operational and administrative function, part of the operations department, reporting directly to the Base Manager at NHV's Norwich Base. Working on a shift pattern of 7 days off shift, 7 days on shift.
Main Responsibilities
- Dispatch computer flight plans for all flights
- Ensure copies of flight plans are made available to aircrew
- Liaison with air traffic control at Norwich airport
- Liaise with line maintenance control for fleet optimization and availability
- Liaise with internal departments and customers on operational matters
- Ensure all administration meets required standards and regulations
- Anticipate and coordinate flight schedule changes
- Monitor, maintain and update the flight schedule
- Ensure customer and internal reports completed on time
- Maintain weather and NOTAM watch
- Liaise with customers on delays/significant events
- Facilities coordination and reporting

Skills & Experience
- Hands-on mentality, flexible, customer orientated
- Driven by results, works accurately, problem solver
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to obtain a Disclosure and Barring Service check
- Preferred minimum 2 years recent Aviation Operations experience
- Sound knowledge of flight planning, FDP Limitations, weather reports & NOTAMs
- Proven ability to work under pressure
- Dangerous goods qualification/experience an asset
- Vantage experience an advantage
- QHSE knowledge or qualification an advantage
