We are looking for a hands-on, highly adaptable Flight Test Engineer (UAV) to lead the ground and flight evaluation of our next-generation unmanned aerial systems. Operating at the intersection of flight operations, engineering, and data analysis, you will be instrumental in taking our platforms from the bench to successful flight execution.
If you thrive in fast-paced, startup-style environments, enjoy solving problems without relying on an existing playbook, and love getting your hands dirty in the field, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Risk Assessment: Author comprehensive, flight-test plans, safety procedures, hazard analyses, and test cards tailored to evolving engineering goals.
- Flight Preparation & Ground Testing: Oversee pre-flight integration, system calibration, bench tests, and ground-power checks prior to field deployment.
- Flight Operations & Execution: Lead field test execution, acting as the UAV Remote Pilot / Air Boss to safely gather crucial flight telemetry and performance metrics.
- Post-Flight Data Analysis: Extract, process, and analyze log files and telemetry data to evaluate aircraft stability, handling, and flight performance against design specs.
- Technical Reporting: Generate clear, actionable test reports and brief cross-functional engineering teams to drive iterative design improvements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
