Flights Manager job in London within the luxury leisure travel industry, offering an excellent salary plus bonus and commission. This is a senior commercial air role covering flight sourcing, ticketing and servicing, GDS operations, disruption management and airline and consolidator relationships within a British heritage business.

Our Customer
Ambitions Travel Recruitment is recruiting for a British heritage business that offers an ultra-high-net-worth travel service from offices around the world. They deliver a highly personalised and private luxury experience — and their client base represents some of the most discerning travellers globally.
They are now looking to appoint a Flights Manager to join their team, working hybrid in London — someone who brings deep commercial air and ticketing expertise, strong airline and consolidator relationships, and the professionalism to represent their brand at the highest level. This is a role for someone who takes genuine pride in the detail and understands that for UHNW clients, the quality of the experience is everything.
The Role
In this role, you will take ownership of commercial flights across the business, sourcing, booking and managing everything from simple journeys to complex international and group itineraries, with significant autonomy over how the service runs and develops.
- Source, quote, book and ticket commercial flights for clients
- Manage the full booking lifecycle, including exchanges, reissues, refunds and schedule changes
- Manage GDS queues, ticketing deadlines and airline changes
- Triage incoming flight requests by urgency, complexity and client needs
- Take ownership of delays, missed connections and cancellations
- Support commercial flight requirements for group travel and events
- Manage and develop relationships with flight consolidators and airlines
- Develop processes, reporting and financial controls for the flights operation
- Arrange airport meet & greet services and transfers as needed
- Support rail, ferry and boat bookings where appropriate
- Act as the internal commercial aviation and ticketing expert

Experience Required
- 7+ years’ experience in business or corporate travel, ideally at senior consultant, ticketing, operations or management level
- Advanced GDS experience, specifically Galileo (Travelport) and Sabre
- Strong knowledge of fares, fare construction, ticketing and airline reservation systems
- Experience with ticket issuance, exchanges, reissues, cancellations, refunds and schedule changes
- Experience managing GDS queues, ticketing deadlines and complex operational workflows
- Experience managing complex international, multi-sector and premium cabin itineraries
- Experience working directly with airlines and flight consolidators
- Group air booking experience preferred
- HNW / UHNW or VIP traveller experience preferred
- Strong organisational and communication skills with a close eye for detail
- Able to work autonomously and take ownership of a business function
