About the Role
We are looking for a courier driver who will provide cover for planned and unplanned absence in the team. The ESHT Couriers provide an essential service collecting and delivering items to health care centres in East Sussex. The Trust operates 10 courier rounds. These rounds each have fixed schedules with 8 hour days, including a 30 minute break. Round start times currently range from 0600 to 11:30, and finish times range from 1400 to 19:30. Applicants will need to be able to work flexible hours, covering rounds as needed. Typically advance notice is given of work times, but occasionally short term changes to work times may be needed.
Requirements
We are looking for individuals with a good deal of driving experience, a clean driving licence and a good geographical knowledge of East Sussex to join our team.
The successful candidates will have several years of driving experience, commercial or otherwise, and have driven vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. Applicants are required to have the ability to use own initiative, and have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
