Description
Britplan Security Solutions is looking for a professional, flexible and dependable Floating Security Officer to support our security teams across a range of client sites.
We are particularly keen to hear from female security officers, and female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Applications remain open to all suitably qualified candidates.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for employees, visitors and property across our client sites.
Job Overview
As a Floating Security Officer, you will provide essential support across our security operations, covering planned and unplanned gaps within site rotas.

You will need to be flexible, professional and confident working across different locations. You must also be able to quickly understand and follow individual site procedures.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing access control and gatehouse duties
- Conducting internal and external building patrols
- Maintaining a professional and visible security presence
- Providing a proactive and effective response service
- Responding appropriately to incidents and site risks
- Accurately recording all incidents and occurrences
- Understanding and following site-specific procedures
- Escalating incidents appropriately
- Providing a professional and welcoming service to clients, employees and visitors

Requirements
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
- The right to work in the UK
- A five-year checkable employment history
- Flexibility to work across different sites and shift patterns
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- A professional and presentable manner
- A reliable, dependable and proactive approach
