Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant

Salary: GBP35,000:GBP45,000 per annum

Location: Wimbledon

Are you an experienced Flood Risk and Drainage professional looking for your next opportunity?

An established and independent environmental consultancy are looking for an accomplished Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join their expanding team in Wimbledon. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a range of exciting projects, providing practical and sustainable solutions in flood risk, drainage, and SuDS.

Responsibilities

As a Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing technical flood risk, drainage, and SuDS assessments.
  • Undertaking hydrological and hydraulic modelling and interpreting results.
  • Working with drainage modelling software and CAD packages.
  • Supporting business development including preparing project quotations/tenders and communicating with clients.
  • Managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Writing clear and comprehensive technical reports.
  • Planning and conducting site investigations.

Requirements

  • A degree in a relevant subject.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within flood risk, drainage, hydrology, or a related environmental discipline.
  • Experience with drainage modelling packages such as Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage, or AutoCAD.
  • Strong technical report-writing abilities.
  • Confidence when communicating with clients and other stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities within a busy consultancy environment.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
  • Ideally based in or within a commutable distance of Wimbledon.
