Location: Shoreditch, London

Salary: £40k – £45k per annum

Contract: Full-Time

Hours: 45-48 hrs/week

About the Role:

Everyone at Kong shapes a guest's day, and nobody more than our managers. Without them, the house doesn't run.

Kong will be fast-paced and demanding: a queue at the door most nights, service as good as the food, and a large team to lead and grow, with humility and care.

You won't do it alone. On a busy night you'll have fellow managers beside you and 40–50 Kongers all pulling the same way. You'll be trusted to do the right thing, to keep our standards, and to look after guests better than they expect.

Who We Hope to Find:

  • You have been working as a Floor Manager in a high-volume bar/restaurant for the past few years.
  • You’re best-in-class in everything you do and want to find an environment that’s as obsessive about quality as you are and helps you flourish.
  • You have a keen eye for detail, consistently uphold the highest standards, and ensure every shift is in the safest possible hands.
  • You’re a great leader who really cares about your people. Your big-hearted approach will make coaching and developing other team members a natural focus.
  • You make your guests and team happy. Committed to making every touchpoint count.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The Practical Bits:

  • A team meal with every shift.
  • A competitive salary, tronc included, paid monthly.
  • Full-time across five days, with Monday to Sunday availability.
  • Your rota published at least six days ahead - room to plan a life around it.
  • Kong is open from early till late, so shifts come in every shape: mornings, middles and evenings, not an endless run of late closes. Flexibility required across a 15-hour operational day, 8am–11pm.
  • Proper paid holiday — the usual allowance, at your usual rate. And we close on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
  • No costumes here. Our dress code is smart-casual — jackets and trainers are absolutely fine.
  • You’ll need the right to work in the UK. We check the paperwork for every role, the same way for everyone.
  • Students, including Student visa holders eligible to work in the UK, are very welcome to apply for our host, server, and bar roles.
