Floor Manager

Job Introduction

We are looking for a Floor Manager to join our Retail London Team.

The Floor Management Team ensures smooth day to day running of our shops in Tate Modern and Tate Britain. As a Floor Manager, you will lead a team of Retail Assistants and Supervisors, motivating and empowering them to deliver exceptional customer experience. You will lead by example, by embodying Tate’s values and you will be an advocate for equality, inclusivity, and diversity.

You will work as part of a team to deliver our departmental goals through three key channels – people, customer, profit. You will proactively coach and develop your team and empower them to deliver exceptional customer experiences in our shops. You will be customer focused, understanding who our customers are and what motivates them to shop with us. You will maximise commercial opportunities, working with your team and stakeholders to drive revenue generation.

Our Ideal candidate

  • Passion for people. You excel at leading teams, you have the proven ability to motivate, inspire, and empower others to deliver company goals and you proactively provide opportunities for others to learn and develop.
  • Communications skills and collaboration skills. You regularly and successfully communicate and collaborate with your team, internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience, you can engage with a diverse audience and use your initiative to deliver results.
  • Commercially minded, you understand what drives sales and engagement in our shops, and you use this knowledge to impact performance.
  • You keep consistently high standards in all aspects of customer experience, stock management, displays and housekeeping.
  • You will be an ambassador for the Tate brand, and a point of contact for both customers and internal teams.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, in an ever-changing environment you know the key to success is adaptability and a positive outlook.
  • You share our commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive space for visitors and colleagues, and are able to support your colleagues to deliver on this commitment.
  • You are curious, you pursue opportunities to learn, and you embrace feedback – you share your knowledge and use it to support your team.
  • You demonstrate our Tate's values and are open, bold, rigorous, and kind.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
