Floor Supervisor – Events

We are looking for an energetic, confident, and highly organised Floor Supervisor – Events to join our team at the beautiful Derbyshire House, one of the most versatile meeting and events venues in the area.
Derbyshire House is very well known in the industry to be one the most versatile location for all types of events, corporate and private alike. The venue is made of 11 modern meeting rooms and a rooftop terrace, hosting a wide range of events; from large corporate meetings to the wedding reception and much more.
Although this is predominantly a Monday to Friday role, the candidate needs to be however flexible and happy to work during the weekend, whenever required.
This is a hands-on operational role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced events environment, enjoys being on the floor, and takes pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience.

The Floor Supervisor will be:
- Hands-on and proactive, ensuring the smooth running of events and the highest standards of service.
- A confident and natural leader, supporting, motivating, training, and coaching the events team.
- Experienced in laying up, room set-ups, service, and event operations.
- Responsible for opening and closing event spaces, ensuring all areas are maintained to the required standard.
- Comfortable coordinating with the Events Coordinator and Head of Events, Kitchen, and other departments to ensure seamless service.
- Experienced in stock control, stock checks.
- Able to build strong relationships with guests and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Calm and organised under pressure, with a positive, hands-on, and problem-solving attitude.
- Confident with operational reporting and cashing-up procedures where required.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, personal presentation, and health & safety.

To be considered, you must:
- Have previous experience in a similar supervisory role within Events, Hospitality, Hotels, or Conference & Banqueting.
- Be highly organised, efficient, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Have excellent communication skills and a strong command of English.
- Be passionate about delivering exceptional events and guest experiences.
- Be confident leading and developing a team.
- Be flexible and willing to support weekend events when required.
- Have a genuine desire to grow and develop within a forward-thinking company.
