Company Description

Lloriau Gorau - Finest Floors is a family-run flooring business operating from a new showroom in Benllech, Anglesey. The showroom is managed by siblings Danny and Ffion Ross, creating a friendly, welcoming environment for customers. The expert fitting team, led by father and son Ian and David Ross, has over 50 years of combined installation experience. The company offers quality flooring products from leading brands to suit a wide range of budgets, rooms, and design preferences. Customers can explore options in the showroom or arrange a free home visit for personalized advice.

Role Description

The Flooring Installer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bangor. The installer will measure and prepare subfloors, remove old flooring, and install a range of flooring materials to a high standard of finish. Day-to-day tasks include:

The installer is expected to uphold company quality standards and provide courteous, professional service in customers’ homes and commercial spaces.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience installing a variety of flooring types, including general Flooring and Hardwood
  • Proficiency in Hardwood Flooring installation techniques, including preparation, cutting, and finishing
  • Skilled in fitting Carpet, including accurate measuring, stretching, and edging
  • Ability to install Ceramic flooring, including tile layout, cutting, and grouting
  • Knowledge of subfloor preparation, moisture assessment, and use of appropriate adhesives and underlayments
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to read measurements and plans, and commitment to safety practices
  • Physical ability to lift and carry materials, use power tools safely, and work on knees or standing for extended periods
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transport to job sites; prior experience in residential or commercial flooring installation preferred
