Are you experienced in AutoCAD and can you work under your own initiative? Do you have experience creating technical drawings?
GES are currently recruiting for a Event Space Planner to join their team based at the NEC near Birmingham.
You would be responsible for the project management of multiple clients’ technical drawing requirements, transforming briefs into technical drawings, ensuring proactive management of service levels and client expectations.
What Will You Do?
You Will
- Proactively manage client floorplans from inception through to completion, taking instructions both verbally/written from clients and account managers.
- Be able to organise/manage time and give realistic turnaround times of when work will be completed.
- Transform drawing briefs and sketches into electronic drawings.
- Liaise with venues to ensure the latest rules & regulations are known & implemented by the team.
- Must be fully competent in AutoCAD.
- Manage AutoCAD block library.
- Provide clear accurate advice on venue regulations.
- Visit sites on a regular basis to ensuring venue knowledge is accurate and develop relationships with venue teams.
- Manage new & existing venue master template files and work within a team to ensure consistency of drawing library.
- Manage the control & distribution of drawings internally & externally.
- Manage mark out dates & drawing requirements.
- Manage time spent on each plan based on allocated FOC amount per plan.
- Ensure each floorplan and additional work is invoiced accordingly.
- Ensure floorplans are registered on CRM via Event Management.
- Produce bill of material plans/figures when requested. (Clarity system)

Salary
This role offers a competitive salary, dependent on experience. We operate a reward strategy based on our team members receiving a salary that best reflects their experience and skill level.
Hours of Work
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm. On occasion you may be required to work evenings and weekends during busy periods to meet the demands of the business.

Annual Leave
Our holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum (plus bank holidays and statutory public holidays).
